Utility Bill Rate UPDATES effective 07/01/2023

Sewer Billing: Residential customers billed monthly will see their customer charge increase from $11.96 to $12.45. The quarterly billed residential customer charge will increase from $29.87 to $31.34.  The flow charge for all customers measured in centum cubic feet (ccf) will increase from $5.72 to $6.01 per ccf.

Increases in sewer rates allow the City to comply with Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) regulations, improve the City's sewer infrastructure and provide additional capacity for future growth.

 

The Utility Exemption Program excuses customers from paying solid waste, clean water, and sewer charges. The following link provides a description and qualifications of the program:

Clean Water Utility Fee: All customers will see a monthly increase from $3.06 to $3.15 per equivalent residential unit (eru).

The Clean Water Utility fee allows the City to address storm water issues throughout Davenport, which includes preventative creek flooding projects and storm water infrastructure projects.

Solid Waste Fee: Monthly cart fees will follow the schedule below:

The cost of a 35- Gallon Cart will change from $14.22 per month to $14.67 per month.
The cost of a 65- Gallon Cart will change from $18.13 per month to $18.67 per month.
The cost of a 95- Gallon Cart will change from $22.06 per month to $22.72 per month.
