July 22, 2021 — American Cruise Lines is pleased to announce that America, one of their beautiful Mississippi riverboats, will arrive to Davenport this Saturday, July 24 in time to be a part of the Quad Cities big “Bix” weekend celebrations.

American Cruise Lines is looking forward to having one of their classic paddlewheelers in town on Saturday and for their guests to join in the wonderful weekend of events. The visit by the small riverboat, is the first of 22 visits by the cruise line to Davenport for the 2021 Mississippi River season. America, one of the Line’s classic paddlewheelers, will also be followed later this season by American’s brand new modern riverboat, American Melody, which begins its inaugural season on the Mighty River

this August. American Cruise Lines operates 4 small riverboats on the Mississippi River (America, Queen of the Mississippi, American Jazz & American Melody) and looks forward to continuing to add their newly built small 100-190 passenger riverboats to the Mississippi each year.

America’s visit to Davenport on Saturday marks the first docking for any riverboat at the beautiful River Heritage Park across River Drive from the Quad City Times and the new Bittner YMCA. American Cruise Lines enjoys a great partnership with Davenport and the many communities along the Mississippi River where the Line’s guests explore along personalized domestic itineraries each year.
