The Urban Revitalization Program (URTE) is used in targeted areas of the City by providing a tax exemption on the increase in property taxes resulting from improvements to a property. For example, if you make improvements to your home in the Central area, any increase in assessed valuation due to those improvements is exempt from property taxes for 10 years.
Benefits of URTE
Property Improvements can equal exemptions on your property taxes.
Covers commercial, residential, multi-residential, and industrial properties.
Exemptions can range from 3 to 10 years in length.

Upcoming Informational Public Meeting
An informational public meeting will be held on
August 5, 2026 at 5:30 P.M. during the City Council meeting located at
City Hall (226 W 4th St, Davenport, IA). Attendance at the public meeting is not necessary for your property to qualify to be added to the URTE area.
