
(December 5, 2025) The City of Davenport is pleased to announce that Mike Boddicker will serve as the new Information Technology (IT) Director. In this role, Boddicker will lead the technology and cybersecurity operations that support the City’s essential public services. His first day will be December 22, 2025.
Boddicker comes to the City of Davenport with significant experience in both private and public sector IT infrastructure management. Most recently, he served as IT Specialist for the Army Contracting Command for the Rock Island Arsenal.
“Civil Service has been a rewarding career path for me,” said Mike Boddicker. “I intend to strengthen the enterprise’s cyber posture and adopt a more forward-thinking approach to how we conduct business, while remaining fiscally responsible and mitigating risk.”
In his new role, Boddicker will ensure the secure, efficient, and compliant functioning of IT resources and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align technology initiatives with the City’s goals.
“Mike is a strong leader who will both meet the immediate needs of the IT Department and move the City’s technology forward,” said Tim Gleason, Interim City Administrator. “His experience and fresh perspective will help streamline and secure the City’s IT processes and systems.”
Boddicker earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology and a master’s degree in cyber security management from Purdue University Global.
