After-Hours Program

The City of Davenport funds supplemental transportation services through the Davenport’s After-Hours Program.  The After-Hours Program is designed to provide public transportation services for people of low income going to work, training, school, vocational rehabilitation, or the bus schedule allows the parent to get to childcare pickup, but not to continue the trip home with their child(ren) during specific hours before or after regular fixed route schedules: 7:00 p.m. to midnight, Monday through Saturday, and 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Saturday.

The program is scheduled by appointment according to time and space available. The objective of the program is to get people to work, school, or training on time.  Return trips may take longer.

Eligibility Requirements
You must apply and be approved before using the service. Request an application by calling River Bend Transit at (563) 386-1350, (800) 735-2942 TTY/ASCII, or emailing [email protected]. 

To be eligible for this service, the pickup or drop-off must be in Davenport, depending on the service used:

  • Between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and midnight, Monday through Saturday
  • Between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., Saturday

Saturday Morning Service. This service is for individuals who need to be at work or school before Saturday’s regular fixed route service begins at 9:00 a.m. Through the service, individuals can schedule transportation to school or work in Davenport between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays.

Rides must be scheduled with River Bend Transit at least 2 business days in advance by calling (563) 386-1350, (800) 735-2942 TTY/ASCII or emailing [email protected]. 

The fare for the Saturday Morning Service is $1. Davenport Bus Passes and the QC Passport are accepted as fare for this service.  All Veterans can use this service for free by presenting a valid VA Card, State issued ID with VA identification, or a Metrolink Veterans ID.

Night Shift Service. This service is for individuals who work, have school, training, vocational rehabilitation, or parents/caregivers who cannot continue their trip home from daycare after the fixed route service ends for the day. Through the service, individuals can schedule transportation to these locations in Davenport between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and midnight, Monday through Saturday. 

Rides must be scheduled with River Bend Transit at least 2 business days in advance by calling (563) 386-1350, (800) 735-2942 TTY/ASCII or emailing [email protected]. Rides are subject to space and time constraints, meaning they are not guaranteed until confirmed by River Bend Transit. 

The fare for the Night Shift Service is $4 and will become $6 on July 1, 2026. The fare must be paid in full upon boarding. Davenport Bus Passes and QC Passport are NOT accepted as fare for this service.  All Veterans can use this service for free by presenting a valid VA Card, State issued ID with VA identification, or a Metrolink Veterans ID.
