Food service equipment manufacturer Electro Freeze relocating and expanding in Davenport
(December 22, 2025) A food service equipment manufacturer is expanding and relocating in Davenport. Electro Freeze is the company that created the first mix-in blender for the Dairy Queen Blizzard ®. Electro Freeze has been part of the East Moline community since 1945 and since has grown to 169 employees. The company will move to a 300,000 square foot building in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center, located at 8440 N. Zenith Ave. The company said in a news release that the relocation to Davenport represents its commitment to growth, innovation and community partnership.
“Relocating to Davenport allows us to operate within a single manufacturing facility while expanding our operational footprint,” said Victoria Campbell, president of Electro Freeze. “This opportunity positions us to better serve our customers, develop new products, and continue our expansion into the global market.”
In December, the Davenport City Council signed a resolution of support for Electro Freeze to apply for a partial property tax exemption through the State of Iowa’s High Quality Jobs program. The estimated capital investment for the project is $16.3 million with 169 jobs retained and approximately 83 future jobs created.

The company said the relocation will more than double its production capacity, allowing Electro Freeze to meet rising customer demand for its innovative products and services. The relocation will also support the expansion of customer service, technical service and engineering facilities.
