Winter is just around the corner, and Davenport is getting ready. Plow blades and spreaders are being installed, crews are training, and we have topped off our salt supply.

As we prepare, we’re asking residents and visitors to get ready too - starting with signing up for Snow Emergency Alerts. These alerts are the most reliable way to know when a Snow Emergency is declared and when parking on posted snow routes is prohibited.

Snow emergencies are called when ice or significant snowfall - typically more than 3 inches - is expected. During a Snow Emergency, parking is not allowed on Posted Snow Routes. This helps Public Works clear the busiest roads and hills first so everyone can keep moving safely when the snow starts to fall.
